# Source map

Export a floor-plan overlay showing mechanical source assignments.

The Source Map renders a visual overlay of source equipment placement on the floor plan, with zones and spaces shown in context.

## Opening the Source Map

Open the hamburger menu (≡) → **File** → **Export** → **Source Map**. The **Source Map** modal opens.

> **On-canvas overlay vs. export.** The **Views** switcher in the top nav bar can also toggle a **Source Map** overlay directly on the canvas (alongside Equipment and Zone Map). The **Export → Source Map** modal is the version you download.

## What it shows

* Floor plan background for the selected floor (with an optional halftone treatment)
* Space outlines colored by source assignment
* Placed source equipment symbols with labels
* Zone groupings
* A legend card and a data table, both repositionable

## Layout controls

The export view is interactive before you download:

| Control             | What it does                                                                         |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Floor selector      | Switch the floor being previewed and exported. The modal opens to the current floor. |
| Label toggles       | Show or hide the on-map labels                                                       |
| Table columns       | Choose which columns appear in the data table                                        |
| Halftone background | Lighten the floor-plan background so colored spaces read more clearly                |
| Drag                | Reposition labels, the legend card, and the table card                               |
| Pan / zoom          | Frame the drawing within the page                                                    |
| Reset               | Per-floor reset and a reset-all control                                              |

## Exporting

Select **Download** to export. The map exports as an **11×17 landscape PDF**, one page per floor, with a "Page N of M" footer and the floor name printed on each page. Labels, legend, and table are placed where you dragged them.

## Use cases

* Verify that every source is placed and every zone is assigned before generating the schedule
* Use as a schematic mechanical plan exhibit
