# Sign in

Sign in with SSO, request access, and manage your session.

Project Strata uses Single Sign-On (SSO) through Microsoft Identity. There is no separate Project Strata username or password — you sign in with your organization account.

## Signing in

1. Navigate to the Project Strata URL.
2. On the login screen, select **Sign in with SSO**.
3. You are redirected to Microsoft Identity. Complete your organization's sign-in flow (this may be automatic if you are already signed in to Microsoft).
4. You are redirected back to Project Strata and land on your **Projects** list (`/Projects/All`).

## Requesting access

Access is rolled out in waves. If you do not yet have access:

1. On the login screen, select **Request** (next to "Don't have access?").
2. On the waitlist screen, select **Join the waitlist**.
3. You'll see confirmation — **"You're on the list!"** — and receive an email when your access is ready.

If you believe you should already have access but cannot get in, contact your Project Strata administrator.

## Project-level access

Being able to log in does not mean you can see every project. Access is granted per project by that project's admins. See [Project Settings](/workflows/projects/project-settings.md) → Access for how permissions work.

## Sessions and signing out

Project Strata keeps you signed in across browser sessions — closing the tab does not log you out.

* **Inactivity timeout:** after a period of inactivity you are signed out and shown a **Session Ended** screen. Select **Sign in with SSO** to return; Project Strata brings you back to the page you were on.
* **Manual sign-out:** in the design environment, open the hamburger menu (≡) → **Log Out**.
